Mexico Mission Trip – Day 7, morning

7 08 2008

Hello Everyone, I apologize for my possible rambling last night, I was very, very tired, but wanting to get a post up! It was a long night too. We had a couple girls up most of the night, not feeling well and a couple more this morning. SO, I am asking for prayer for healing today and for energy for the team! We are all tired, our bodies are sore and we need to push through to complete our house and VBS today! Please lift this team up in prayer and praise again for the 7 students who got baptized last night! It was an awesome time in the ocean! For me personally, I need serious energy as I was up with the girls and I am feeling it! We appreciate you all and the prayers!

To Shanon, Teri, and all the amazing adults who have given so generously of their time and energy for this trip – YOU ROCK!!! We appreciate you all so much – more than words could ever express. Our prayers have been with you since this whole adventure started and you have never been far from our thoughts. The gratitude we as parents feel for what you are doing for our children runs so incredibly deep!!! May you find the energy you need to finish up this time of service, have some fun in San Diego, and bring you and our children home safely. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and God Bless!!

Shanon,
Thank you so much for your continued care of all of our “babies”! We all know they couldn’t be in better care with all of the amazing adults on the trip. I will be praying for supernatural energy for you and all the team today.
Hugs to all,
Valerie

I add my prayers to all the others offered up to day for good health for the whole team! I really enjoy reading the blog each day to catch up on what is happening. Your outreach is amazing and encouraging. Have a restful evening for the return trip tomorrow. I can’t wait to see your smiling faces on Sunday!

I snuck away at work to read the blog and I am trying to keep professional and not cry or scream! Congratulations to all the kids who were baptised!!! I am so proud of you, Sam! A life changing expereince for an all ready awesome young woman. I pray for strength physically with your bodies and your minds. This is when God pushes you the hardest. Remember, He never gives more than you can handle. He will help you all to find a way to finish that house, bless those children and still have sufficiency for yourselves. You can all come home to safe environments. Those people have their whole lives to live in those environments. We are all so blessed. So amny are covering you in prayer.
Thanks Shanon and the whole team. Thanks for the time to involve us at home. We are all growing from your experience.

It has been amazing to hear what God has been doing in and through you guys this past week. Thank you for serving and loving the people in Mexico in ways that many of us cannot right now. For each life you have touched, God sees, knows, and is pleased, and the week that you have spent of your summer will have eternal reward. I am reminded that whatever you do “for the least of these” you are doing for Christ Himself. Thank you for representing your families, Willamette Christian Church, and most importantly God in such a honoring and Christ-like way. This is a momentous time in your lives and we are celebrating with you and praying for you.

Have a safe trip home and we will be excited to hear about everything when you return.

Joel–Nathan, Elisabeth and I love you so much and we are proud to have you as father, husband, and leader of our home. Thank you for the example that you are and the many, many ways that you love and serve others for the glory of God. Hurry home!

I am very proud of the leadership that the youth of this Willamette team is showing for God’s Kingdom. The baptisms, the fellowship, being God’s hands to people in need, what a wonderful experience.
Thanks to all the youth… you guys could be home, just living your life as normal, but you have chosen to make a difference. How inspiring that is to us all. How life giving that is to those who do not know HIM where you are serving. What a wonderful experience that you will always have, and so will those you serve.

Don’t let those adults with you slow you all down. Be Bold!

Hi Team,

I hope all the sickies are recovering! Sveta I hope your finger (and popka) are okay! Hang in there everyone…we are all so proud of our students and grateful for our leaders. I can’t tell you how many times I have looked at the pictures. And, yes, my eyes fill with tears every single time!! You probably have no idea how much the work you are doing way across the border is impacting the lives of everyone back home who is reading this. You touch our hearts and strengthen our faith every day by your example.

Stay well and safe on your journey home, and enjoy your R&R in San Diego. We love & miss you, Sveta!!!
